All projects managed by the Friends Group of course need to be watered which is made difficult by the lack of access to nearby water sources. Thankfully we are supported by an army of Watering Volunteers who commit to watering a single area, each forming a small WhatsApp Group to share the responsibility between a couple of people. Even if you have very limited time, offering to water a location within easy access of your home even once a week would be so helpful. All the hard work planting and maintaining will be in vain without this group for keeping our plants alive.
The Friends Group are looking at more sustainable water access and the possible addition of water-butts in suitable areas to make the most of collected rainfall.
