Great News!
We are delighted to announce that we have formally been granted permission to hold a street party to honour the memory of Jo Cox – Sunday June 18th
It will be held in Park Road Colliers Wood SW19 12.00 noon – 17.00 pm
We have also been granted permission to close Park Road Colliers Wood between the junctions of Marlborough and Cavendish Road. (Permission given by London Borough of Merton and the Emergency Services)
PARKING
We will request that residents who own vehicles and park in the area of Park road that is to be closed off to move their vehicles to nearby surrounding roads on the Saturday evening 17th June. (The day before the event is to be held).
FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS
Please bring enough food and refreshment for your family and friends and a little bit extra to share with your neighbours.
Ideally this should be brought in a cool box and plastic containers. This will make it easy to transport and re-store should it rain (Hopefully not!)
No glass or bottles will be allowed to be used at the party. Please ensure that you bring plastic tumblers or wine glasses only. We would be very upset it if anyone got hurt.
FANCY DRESS – We encourage you to dress up for the day (Especially the children)
Park Road residents – It would be great if each household could decorate the front of their premises with bunting etc. for the day. If you have any further suggestions, please let us know
A RAFFLE will be held to raise funds for :-The TRUSSELL food bank
(local charity) and also BOWEL CANCER UK .
