Clean Air Merton Latest

A meeting to discuss the future of Wimbledon town centre is being held on Thursday 4 May from 7pm to 9pm at St Andrew’s Church, Herbert Rd, SW19 3SH.  It has been arranged by Councillor David Dean and speakers will include Stephen Colbourne, an independent expert on Crossrail 2, and John Mays, chairman of the Wimbledon Society, on the master plan for Wimbledon.  Clean Air Merton will not be speaking but our flyers will be available and I hope to be present, so if you plan to come please make contact by email so we can meet each other.

We are planning a public meeting on Tuesday 13 June in Wimbledon.  Speakers will include Tom Walsh from Sustainable Merton.  The meeting will be at 7.30pm at the Mansel Road Centre, SW19 4AA. We want to hear what YOU think about air pollution in Merton and what we can do about it. More details to follow – save the date!

We think informing all Merton schools of the health issues surrounding air pollution and how to avoid the worst of it where possible is very important.  Our supporters are working with primary schools such as Gorringe Park, Merton Abbey and Cricket Green on this issue.  If you are interested in doing the same at a school or nursery you are connected with and would like to be put in touch with others active in this field, please email us.
