We hold relaxed, informal meetings that are open to everyone, no invitation needed. They usually take place once a month on a Monday evening at 7pm and last around an hour. We meet in person at the Colliers Wood Community Centre and new faces are always welcome.

Our meetings are relaxed and friendly. They’re a chance for local residents and volunteers to come together, share ideas, and help look after the parks, river and green spaces around Colliers Wood.
We often talk about things such as:
- Planning upcoming gardening sessions
- Keeping our parks and streets tidy
- Removing invasive plants from the River Wandle
- Planting ideas and supporting biodiversity
- Wildlife and habitat protection
- Issues affecting the river, including pollution or oil spills
- Anti-social behaviour that affects our green spaces
- Flooding and the local floodplain
- What the council or other local groups are doing
- New ideas for improving our local parks and green areas
We also discuss practical things like tools, plants, and funding that help support volunteer activities.
Most importantly, the meetings are a chance to meet others who care about the local area. Sometimes we even just chat, catch up with neighbours… and occasionally eat cake.
Everyone is very welcome, whether you’re already involved or just curious to find out more.
